The grapes of the wild.  I sculpted the bird of paper mache.  The beak is a stone found in the mountains near my home. The legs are grapevine twigs from my backyard. I wrapped them in wire and sculpted the sturdy feet. The final decorative layer is a lovely ecological plant fiber paper. I then used vibrant watercolor pencils to decorate this bird with the long meandering grape vine.  Glass bead eyes gaze gently. I gave the entire sculpture a protective coating of artist matte varnish. 6.5" tall, 7" long
