This owl sculpture I made in honor of the mighty oak trees. I sculpted the owl of paper mache and natural elements. The beak is a stone I found in the nearby mountains. The "ears" is a scrap of wood I found while out walking. The eyes are little acorn caps from an oak near my home. This wise friend rests comfortably on a charming scrap of wood I found out walking nearby. I used ecological natural papers for the final layer of bird sculpture and painted the oak leaves and acorns to adorn this wise owl. The entire sculpture is protected with an artist's matte varnish. 5.5" tall
