Oh the joy of the mountain chickadee. With a clear song, this little confident bird flits among the aspen and pine trees. It is always a welcome sight while out hiking, as it cocks it's head towards us with gentle curiosity. I created this delightful pair of chickadees with paper mache and natural elements. The beak is a stone I found in the nearby mountains. I used ecological natural paper for the final layer to create the wonderful coloring of the chickadees. They rest happily on a scrap of cottonwood burl I found while out walking. This is mounted on a black painted pine board with hanger. The entire sculpture is protected with an artist's matte varnish. 10" tall, 8" wide, 5" deep
