This bird honors the sprightly House Wren. Such an energetic proud little bird. I see them often out on walks singing out from tree top and also among the dense bushes.  What better way to honor this delightful bird than to create it as a house itself!  This bird is lovingly sculpted from paper mache, paperclay, and natural elements. The tail is a lovely scrap of old dried sage-wood.  The beak is a stone found in the mountains near my home. I sculpted the legs of sturdy wire. The final decorative layer is tissue paper I hand drew and colored doors and windows on.  Glass bead eyes gaze gently. I gave the entire sculpture a protective coating of artist matte varnish. 7.5"tall, 6.5" long
